Anil Daniel Prasad
Anil Daniel Prasad qualified as a physiotherapist in India and has more than 10 years of professional experience, primarily in India and the Middle East. His main area of interest is the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and sports injuries, using an evidence-based approach.
Anil joined the Osteopathic Health Centre in November 2013. During his work experience in Dubai, Anil has also been a sports physio for various sporting events, including rugby, cricket and tennis (ATP Dubai Duty Free Championship). For the last three years, he has served as an individual ATP player physiotherapist.
Anil is a Certified Shockwave Therapist (CSWT) and a Certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapist (COMT). He has specialized in Shockwave Therapy (Focus and Radial) for treating the following conditions: chronic tendon and soft tissue injuries, Achilles tendinopathy, patella tendinopathy, adductor tendinopathy, plantar fasciopathy, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, chronic ligamentous injuries, trigger points, shoulder calcifications and tendinopathies, delayed bone healing, scar tissues, greater trochanteric pain syndrome and early stage of avascular bone necrosis.
Anil’s interest and success have been in the treatment and prevention of joint pain (shoulder/hip/knee), myofascial pain and, chronic tendon and muscle/ligament injuries. He also treats spine conditions such as neck pain, lower back pain and headaches. In his treatment approach, he provides a thorough assessment of musculoskeletal imbalances and combines manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, myofascial releases and exercise prescription to not only treat but prevent injury recurrences. He uses Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound to aid the diagnostic and treatment process.
Anil is very active within the professional development/educational programmes. He is a member of the Emirates Physiotherapy Association. He has been honoured as a guest speaker at various health conferences.
