Paediatric physiotherapy is the treatment for children who need to improve their motor performance, range of motion and strength, co-ordination and postural control and quality of movement.
Our aim is to provide a high quality physiotherapy service as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of children. Our physiotherapist carries out a thorough neuro-developmental assessment on the patient and prescribes him/her with any exercises required to help facilitate his/her development.
Children may need physiotherapy if they exhibit delayed motor development, have neurological conditions such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy or other brain injuries or have orthopedic conditions such as club feet, amputations, torticollis or plagiocephaly. They may need it for a degenerative disease such as Muscular Dystrophy or for one of many other medical syndromes. Physiotherapy can be also used for post-fracture or post-surgical rehabilitation.
