Jacob Gordon

Jacob is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist from New Zealand with a passion for sports physiotherapy, committed to helping individuals regain their strength, mobility, and overall quality of life. Jacob obtained his Physiotherapy degree from Auckland University of Technology. Jacob specialises in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries and disorders affecting the muscles, bones, and joints.

Having worked in a multidisciplinary clinic, Jacob values the importance of collaborative care and utilises a holistic approach that integrates insights from various healthcare professionals. This experience enhances his ability to create comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient. Jacob is also Māori (Indigenous culture of New Zealand), this too has influenced his practice to be very holistic based and focussing on the individuals as a whole rather than a condition or injury.

Jacob has also had the privilege of working with various sports teams, deepening his understanding of athletic injuries and performance enhancement. His experience with athletes from weekend warriors to elite competitors enables him to effectively help them recover from injuries and optimise their performance. His treatment strategies include massage, manual therapy, dry needling, and exercise-based rehabilitation, all aimed at alleviating pain, improving function, and promoting recovery.

Believing in empowering patients through education and active participation in their recovery process, Jacob ensures that individuals have the tools and knowledge to prevent future injuries. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or looking to enhance athletic performance, he is here to guide them on their journey to optimal health.
