She constantly increases her range of treatment options which now include myofascial release techniques, Kinesio-taping, and Trigger Point Dry Needling. Myofascial release focuses on dispelling restrictions in the connective tissue by using gentle non-invasive massage and mobilising technique. Kinesio Taping is a rehabilitative methodology designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process. This technique using an elastic therapeutic tape (Latex-free) to provide support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. Dry Needling is a Physical Therapy treatment that involves a very thin needle similar to acupuncture needle, but smoother, being inserted deep into a muscle with anatomical accuracy and safety to release painful Myofascial trigger points. Dry Needling results in deep tissue muscle release, thus allowing for improvements in movement and reduced chronic pain.
As an APPI Certified Clinical Pilates instructor, Marilyne applies Pilates as an excellent tool in rehabilitation after sports and spinal injuries, back and neck pain, and the management of overuse injuries occurring through sport. Using Clinical Pilates, she helps her patients strengthen their core muscles and promotes proper alignment and efficient movement.Book Now
